Define extensive property/intensive property. |

Answer» A property which depends on the quantity of matter present in the system is called extensive property. Examples :Mass, Volume, internal energy, heat, free energy, entropy etc. A property which is independent on the quantity of matter present in the system is called intensive property. Examples :Density, surface tension, viscosity, specific heat, thermal conductivity, refractive index, pressure, temperature, boiling point, freezing point etc. |
