Describe an experiment to determine the densityof the material of a coin. |
|
Answer» Get a beaker full of water and weigh it. now place the coin inside the water without TOUCHING any side of the beaker and weigh the displaced weight as V. Now find out the ratio between the two and that will be the density of the material of the coin. Density . Explanation: Using a vernier caliper or ruler, measure the length, depth and width of the object in centimeters. MULTIPLY these three measurements to find the volume in cubic centimeters. Divide the object's mass by its volume to determine its density. Density is EXPRESSED in GRAMS per cubic centimeter or grams per milliliter. |
