Electrostatic Shielding |
|
Answer» Electrostatics is a branch of physics that studies electric charges at rest. Since classical physics, it has been known that some materials such as amber attract lightweight particles after rubbing. The Greek word for amber, ήλεκτρον, or electron, was the source of the word 'electricity Electrostatic shieldingis the phenomenon that is observed when a Faraday cage operates to block the effects of anelectricfield. Such a cage can block the effects of an external field on its internal contents, or the effects of an internal field on the outside environment. The process which involves the making of a region free from any electric field is known as electrostatic sheilding. |
