Answer» CPU = Central Processing Unit What EVER input we give to computer the cpu PROCESS it and send us the output.. The alphabets or any symbols we enter the computer can't understand it only understands only 0, 1 what ever MESSAGE we send it it convert it into binary codes i.e. 0, 1 .In this way the computer understands the input and gives us output . Here cpu acts like a processor and converts the input messages into binary codes i.e 0,1. In this way CPU is essential for a computer.
