Answer» Voting through Ballots : The process of voting through ballots gets completed in following steps. 1. Preparation of Ballots : In the election of Panch, Sarpanch and Zila Parishad candidates, only election signs are printed on the ballot paper hnd the names of candidates are not given. 2. Preparation of Candidate Lists : After filling the nomination forms, the election officer examines these forms and a list is prepared of all those candidates who are found eligible. And then election signs are alloted to them. If recognized political parties take part in elections of Panchayat > Samiti and Zila Parishad, the ballot papers are printed with their party signs and these signs are alloted to their candidates. 3. Decision of Voting Centres : In Panchayat elections, the government or semi government buildings are made as voting places. It is so because it is helpful in keeping the election process impartial and easy. 4. Voting : When a voter reaches the voting place, first his name is matched with voters list. After that a. sign of ink is made on the fore finger of left hand and after completing some other formalities, a ballot paper is given to voter. He/She brings it in the voting cabin to put the stamp on his/her desired candidates election sign and then the voter drops it in ballot box after folding the ballot paper. The ballot paper is dropped in ballot box infront of Presiding officer and agents. In this way the voting process of a single candidate gets completed. |
