Answer» Working Procedure of WPAT : The full form of WPAT is Voter Varifiable Paper Audit Trial. It is printer which is joined with control unit and ballot unit of EVM. As the voter cast his/her vote, the ballot slip comes out containing the name, serial number and sign of the election of the contesting candidate for which vote has been casted. This slip is visible for the voter for seven seconds only in the transparent box and after that it drops in drop box with a sound of beep. In this way the voting of a voter gets completed. This slip is helpful if there is a situation of controversy while counting the votes. This way the WPAT keeps the process of voting faithful and impartial. |
