  • Image distance (V) = 50 CM
  • Object distance (u) = -20 cm

We know that , the lens formula is given by

1/f = 1/50 - (-1/20)

1/f = 1/50 + 1/20

1/f = 70/1000

f = 100/7

f = 14.2 cm

The POSITIVE value of f shows the NATURE of lens is convex

The FOCAL length of convex lens is 14.2 cm
