1.	Four point charges are placed at the four corners of a square in two ways (a) and (b) as shown in figure. Will the (i) electric potential and (ii) electric field, at the centre of the square be the same or different in the two configurations and why?
Answer» okk .. a= as in the figure u can see opposite charge on opposite sides . let at the centre. there is a small POSITIVE charge. q hence. hence direction of force point A will be in the direction of point C hence total force by A and point c will be 2f similar to BD force on centre by BD =2f now both the direction will be in 90 Degree to each other. hence FNET on centre = 2√2F b = similar charge on opposite sides then direction will be opposite hence total force =0
