Answer» On mobile touch was before USING stylus but Apple really IMPROVED it by switching to finger touch. This changed mobile completely to better. Today mobile is really very nice with really nice tech like embedded fingerprint sensor inside LCDs. Touch functionality is really great and reliable. Touch slowly also enters laptop market but cause of big SCREEN sizes is very expensive and not too much usable. There is almost no touch on DESKTOP and touch monitors are ridiculously expensive. All these also affects SOFTWARE which on laptop/desktop is not fully touch oriented/supported. For me touch improved our lives a lot and world will be completely different without it. $\\$
