Answer» Solution :(a) Carbon dioxide comes out with great force through a small nozzle form soda acid fire extinguisher. Sudden expansion of `CO_2` takes place which leads to reduction in temperature of the carbon dioxide to a great EXTENT and moisture present in AIR condenses on the carbon dioxide moleucles and appears like fog. (b) Na, MGAND K metals continue to BURN in atomsphere of `CO_2` . it is due to fact that these active metals GET oxidised by `CO_2` to form respective oxides. |
