1.

If f(x) = \(\frac{x^2−4}{x−2}\) where x ∈ Z – {2} then find the value of f(0) + f(1) – f(-2).

Answer»

f(x) = \(\frac{x^2−4}{x−2}=\frac{(x+2)(x−2)}{x−2}\) = x + 2

∴ f(0) + f(1) – f(-2)

= (0 + 2 + (1 + 2) – (-2 + 2)

= 2 + 3 – 0

= 5
