Displacement after 2.5 ROUNDS?

Calculation:

  • Let's assume that Renu started from a particular vertex of the rectangle.

  • After 2 complete rounds, Renu will reach back to her starting point.

  • In the next 1/2 or 0.5 rounds, she will reach the diametrically opposite vertex of the rectangle.

So, the displacement (being shortest length between starting and stopping point) will be the DIAGONAL.

\therefore \: d =  \sqrt{ {7}^{2}  +  {5}^{2} }

\implies \: d =  \sqrt{ 49 + 25}

\implies \: d =  \sqrt{74}

\implies \: d =  8.6 \: m
