Solve : 2 TVs from 1 cable box??

Answer»

I'm THINKING of putting a small 19" TV by my computer desk. So I can have it on and watch TV when Im on the computer.

Right now in this room there is a TV and cable box. But the TV and cable box are behind me @ the opposite side of the room.

Is it possible to run 2 TVs from this cable box?

I don't need both TVs to be on @ the same time.

Motorolla DCX3200-M
How are you connecting the cable box to the TV? You should be able to do this with a simple splitter on the cable to the TV (whether it is HDMI or whatever). Of course both TVs would need to be showing the same CHANNEL but I doubt this is a problem in your situation. How do you know your PC has the horsepower to do both ? ?
I'd check that out 1ST before buying anything...Thank you.

I THOUGHT I read somewhere that this Motorolla box has "handshake" which prevents you from splitting the VIDEO?
Hmm, never heard of this "handhake" before, you would need to ask your cable company about it. I imagine however that this wouldn't be an issue if only one TV was on at a time since the handshake signal would only be handled by the switched on TV.
