Go Start>Run, type in:
regedit
Click OK.

In registry editor navigate to:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop
In right pane, you'll see MenuShowDelay entry.
Right click on it, click Modify and change the value from existing 200 to 0 (zero).

Restart computer and try Add\Remove again.just the same broniGo Start>Run, type in:

Click OK.

Hey Broni - why would changing the speed of menu hovering/display effect this PROBLEM? It works for any menu, including Add\Remove list.
I thought, maybe he doesn't wait long enough for the list to populate.Gotcha, thanks. I am surprised this would effect the speed ADD/REMOVE populating.tried it 4 times and it worked EVERY TIME your magic thank you , now just to get the sound to work  , it must have happened the same time thanks again , harry


btw: the reload back up cd is to reboot the pc , i know that much

i have a system and driver cd , it says it is for fixing , sound , cd-rom , display, modems and more , would that have fixed the add and remove and fix's in generalYou're welcome i did an edit to my last post , harry
