Solve : $399.00 laptop?

Answer»

I think this is a great program and I'm also real eager to try this laptop out for myself.

Starting November 12, One Laptop PER Child will be offering a Give 1 Get 1 Program for a brief window of time. For $399, you will be purchasing TWO XO laptops—one that will be sent to empower a child to learn in a developing nation, and one that will be sent to your child at home. If you're interested in Give 1 Get 1, we'll be happy to send you a reminder email. Just sign up in the box to the left and you'll receive your reminder prior to the November 12 launch date.

Same here.
I always thought those laptops looked pretty good, I kept wanting one.
Now I finally have a chance to maybe get one, I may take advantage of it if it's open to the UK.That's a great cause. I just WISH I had an extra $390 lying around.Yes there may be a problem with finding that kinda hard CASH... Quote from: CBMatt on October 04, 2007, 04:14:03 AM

So you've got the other $9 lying around?

Heh, yeah, I was going to use it to take my girlfriend out to a romantic Dollar Menu dinner for two, but I think it will be better in my computer fund.
