Solve : a program is running?

My PC is on and it's making a whirring sound, so i know a program is RUNNING, but i didn't activate one and i can't figure out which one it is.

How can i find out what program is running?Task MANAGER - Cont+Alt+Del. You will see hwat is going, if ANYTHING. It could be a hardware issue, but let us know.
