Answer» I hope someone can help me. I've got a all in one scanner/copier/printer HP psc 1200 series. I cannot seem to make it work since I had my COMPUTER reformated. I tried reinstalling it and I get this error message when I try opening my HP Director: Windows cannot FIND $InstallDir$\bin\hpqtax08.exe. I hope someone can help, I'm desperate. Thanks a bunch... abeilles Try emptying the C:\Windows\prefetch folder. Also be CERTAIN that you have the correct drivers at hand.remove all you have installed for this Multi, I am fairly SURE that the drivers cd etc should have ab uninstallation tool on it but if not USE the windows "add remove hardware" and "add remove software" go into the control panel/system/hardware/ and remove any items refering to the Multi. disconnect the Multi then reinstall before connecting the Multi to the computer
