Solve : Alternative keystrokes by mistake?

Answer»

I'm not sure how to describe this problem, but basically somehow I changed what my keyboard puts onto the screen in wordpad (and on the internet). I'm sure I accidently hit a COMBO of keys and now I'm getting Á instead of capital a and Ä instead of capital a. When I hit shift+apostrophe then A I get Ä or I hit apostrophe then A I get Á.
Help this is making typing documents that I need apostrophes in very annoying. Can you tell I am not a great computer brain.
Thanks What Operating System?I'm working on what we call a dummy TERMINAL. The Operating system I THINK is Windows Server 2003. Does that help?
press Alt Gr + ctrl and it will clearHave you tried rebooting the thin client?Hi,
We actually disconnected the thin client from its terminal and its power source and STILL did not clear. Stubborn little thing.

What key does the 'Gr' refer to in the alt Gr + control idea?
Thanks again.
KellyDid you try contacting your IT department? That really should be one of the first things you do.Quote from: swrogue on July 10, 2008, 03:11:01 PM

He's referring to the Alt Graph key, which is found on international KEYBOARDS. If you have a domestic US keyboard, then you probably don't have this key. Silly question, but did you try simply restarting?
