Answer» Hey guys im looking to buy a tablet pc and im wondering if anyone has any reccomendations?
Im looking for something with a touch screen and a keyboard , preferatbly with a seperate touchpad too. something like the Toshiba Protege M200. It also has to have some DECENT specs (>1.5GHz) and must be ready to install an os to (i have linux PUPPY , slax , ubuntu whatever) .
I DO NOT want an android.
Im open to offers too CNET has a review and compares other tablets. http://reviews.cnet.com/Toshiba_Portege_M200_tablet_PC/4505-3126_7-30596988.html
CNET seems to favor the Motion LE1600. I have no idea, but the price is outside of my comfort zone. Anyway, here is short video of it ... http://reviews.cnet.com/laptops/motion-le1600-pentium-m/4505-3121_7-31391885.html?tag=contentBody;similarProdsMy HP tm2 has served me PRETTY well. It's touch screen is very responsive and if you can get past the fact that it doesn't have dvd drive then it's a nice option.

very nice even if i do say so myself
The guy also gave me a spare BATTERY with it so 2x3hour runtime
well chuffed If you don't want android then the best thing would be to go for Dell (http://www.dell.com/ca/p/inspiron-duo/pd). Their tablet pc has Windows 7 and is duo convertible which is something in the middle between a netbook and a tablet.
