Answer» I don't have AOL as a server, but I have a AOL mailbox (AIM). I went to check my mail and seen there were 231 messages sent. Tried to get into my sent mail to see what was going on, and all I get is a message saying, " An error occurred while retrieving your messages". I can't get in my sent mail, can anyone help me out?How long has this been going on?
Perhaps AOL is having technical DIFFICULTIES...How long has this been HAPPENING?
Do you mean you access your e-mail via aol.com? If so, which browser are you using? If not, then how are you accessing your e-mail?
Were you ever able to view your messages before this issue started?I don't have AOL as my internet provider, I have Frontiernet. Didn't like the mailbox at Frontier so I use the free AOL mailbox, I think it's AIM. I could get in my sent mail before, just about three days ago I checked my mail and seen that it had 231 sent messages. Ever since then I can't open my sent mail. I am using Internet Explorer as my browser. So, you use a mailbox program to access your e-mail? SORRY for my ignorance here, but I have AOL as my provider, so I don't need use any external programs or sites.
It might not prove to be a solution, but a good start would be to download CCleaner (install without YAHOO! toolbar) and configure it according to this guide.
If you do indeed use an external program, are you also able to access your email by going to webmail.aol.com? If so, can you see the missing messages?
Let us know how it goes.
