Does anyone know if you can overclock a dell? I have a Dell Dimension L900CXE that I’m just messing AROUND with until i get my new computer. I've heard that its possible but nobody has a real answer. If anyone KNOWS how please let me know, if there is a site that can help me please direct me to it. Thanks!This may sound dumb, but what's overclocking? I got that with an old video card and XP didn't run. I ended up upgrading to what I have now.The motherboards are not geared for overclocking. You may get some kind of boost with a software solution, but if you want to overclock and burn up a machine possibly, try another board AND a processor that is better for overclocking.Overclocking is something people do to their processor and other hardware to make them faster. Yeah I figured that could happen but I just wanted to mess around with it. Thanks!I believe P3's had locked MULTIPLIERS as well. So between the MB and the CPU that's 2 BIG strikes. So people make their boards go faster than intended... sounds stupid. If you fry the motherboard... most great video cards are cheaper. So I don't see the point.
