'Cell-Phone 'Wi-Fi' scandal in Indai overheats.
Actaully, it is not 'Cell-Phone 'Wi-Fi per se. It is about the 2GB specturn space. This space can be used ofr many kinds of mobile devices for wireless data or voice. Whoever 'owns' this space can make a lotof money.
Why is this posted in Computer news?
1. Some of CH members either live in India or have an interest in India.
2. What happens in one national marketplace may impact others.
3. The scandal involves an are of technology that is important to PC and cell phone users .

It was alleged that the allocation of the 2 GB d in India was improper and the matter was, so they say, settled. But it was not settled.

Who wants to say 'This has no impact on my life'?
there is no "2GB SPECTRUM space".Type. It is the 2G spectrum allocation. Like second generation before THIRD generation. [See IMT 2000 ,which explains 3G as technical standard and include spectrum allocation. The 2G is a legacy now that still is a source of revenue in many areas. The spectrum remains.]
