I have no ill will toward the EU, but they have taken a position that might hurt their credulity. To be technical, parliament has no authority until the commission makes a move against Google. So that is what I read. Is that right?

From the articles I have looked at so far, it would seem that the EU has more to lose here. I have no ill will toward the EU, but they have taken a position that might hurt their credulity.
