You might think ScanDisk died with Windows 98. Not so. It is still there, but you no longer get the visual DISPLAY SHOWING what is going on. Read the article above.
OK, it is not REALLY scan disk, *censored* it is the equivalent.
Here is a video about how Windows 7 does the same thing as scan disk used to bo.

Now if you really want something that looks like the original Scan *censored*, there are third party tools that will help. You know of some?
OK, here is my question. What do you use?
Scandisk did die after Windows ME. Later versions that provide the facility through their UI- and the depiction shown in the video- use chkdsk in the background.
