Solve : Changing default e-mail?

Answer»

Hi Again,

I have a HP Pavilion dv6 and running win7. I use software that automatically sends out emails for me. (I'm a REAL estate agent if any one needs one lol) My PROBLEM is my system default is win live messenger which I never even tried I have to change it to Yahoo. HELP

Thanks in advance,
MP.Internet Options - Programs Tab - Internet Programs - Set ProgramsAllan,

I did actually GET that far but what to do after that? I change things but nothing stays and when I try to send an email it still uses Messenger?1) Uninstall Messenger
2) Control Panel - Default ProgramsJeez I thought this would be a quick one.

I do not see win live mail as a program to uninstall ?

Just asking.

And this is win 7. Not XP or VISTA? Your first post said live messenger your last post said live mail. I gave you links for everything.I am a dolt !

Its for email and I will check out the other two links you sent me.

Thanks VM.OK This grew arms and legs lol.

No instructions for Win 7 and I certainly don't wanna screw other things up.

They really like to control things don't they.

Next time please post in the correct forum. Posting a technical question in "other" makes no sense and doesn't tell us which OS you are using.Sorry, I did say I was using Win 7 and I wasn't sure where to put it. No email forum or yahoo.

Software ? win 7 ? Where should it have gone.

It may not be right but "SEEMED" logical at the time. lol To me anyway.

Thanks again.
