thanks guysWhat type of chat room was it? Could you give us a name?

A lot of chat software has viruses, spyware, and adware, so, getting it back from a shop may have removed an issue.

jefftry firefox tooChatroom addy added.http://www.castboolits.gunloads.com/ is a forum, not quite the same as a chat room

Since its a forum, CHECK the following things:

Make sure you are logged in
Check any messages (PM's) to make sure your account wasnt changed (eg: Banned or prevented from posting)
Contact the administrator (via Email or PM) and see what they can do for you

Try FireFox

Good evening:

Try this:
In Internet Explorer, click Tools> Options> Connections> LAN> and select "Automatically detect proxy"
Then click OK
and then go to Advanced, and restore the defaults.
If that still fails, and its really important to you, and if you have Internet Explorer, you can click the reset button under Advanced, and that will uninstall ALL extensions, reset your temporary internet files, and all that yadda yadda. You will be required (eventually) to reinstall some of your extensions as you enter sites that need them.
