Solve : Close Program Screen?

Answer»

I had to uninstall aol and re-install it on my computer because it wasn't letting me log on. I contacted AOL Tech support and they instructed me on what to do and it reloaded successfully but I am still having trouble logging on to the internet. The tech told me that I have too many PROGRAMS that are APPEARING on the screen when I HIT ctrl/alt/delete and he said to contact a computer service to find out how to get those programs from appearing in that screen. He said that they are programs that automatically come on when I start up my computer and they are overloading my computer and not allowing me to log on to AOL. I know how to "End Task" them and it works temporarily but I don't know how to make them go away until I want to use them (if that makes any sense). Can you give me any advice on what I need to do? THANK you for your time and attention to this matter.            PhilGo to Start > Run type in msconfig and PRESS .
In the window that opens click the StartUp tab.
From there you can uncheck any programs you don't want to run when you boot the computer.
p.s. don't uncheck 'Task Moniter' or 'System Tray'
