Solve : Commodore 64? |
|
Answer» http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comodore_64I have a working Commodore 64, at least it worked the last time I tried it out, about 2 years ago. I probably will never switch it on again (the thought fills me with horror) and I suspect it will end up in the junk. 64 kb of RAM? Yeah, that sounds nice.I remember GOING to see one at a friends house and being jealous. All I had was a Timex-Sinclair 1000 with 2k of memory! (eventually I got the expansion pack and increased it to 16K)Maybe one of these (SX64 Portable): http://www.vintage-computer.com/commodoresx64.shtml Quote from: kpac on June 25, 2010, 10:53:02 AM 64 kb of RAM? But I did just add an option for zero anyway to distinguish it from $1-$10. I'd much rather take it than have it put in a junk pile.I had a Commodore 64. It was my first computer. But, I would not pay anything for one now. If I still had it, I would take it to the next recycling drive of a local computer users' group (CUG). I simply can't justify KEEPING old computers; keeping them takes up space and causes clutter. Otherwise, I might still have it, along with other computers I've owned (286, 486, a 75MHz Pentium). I might give it away, I suppose, on condition that whoever takes it also takes the Sinclair QL and Amiga that are also in the attic, and as long as they promise not to expect me to talk about retro computing. (I am not enthusiastic and it is an accident that these things were not in the trash long ago.
