Solve : Computer wont start!?

Answer» Hello I have just ACQUIRED a Dell computer second hand. I have plugged the relevant bits up in the BACK and went to press start. The start light comes on and it makes and initial start up noise but then nothing...like it just turns off again... the start up noise must be for about a second. Has anybody experience this. Is there a simple solution? Kind regards I think i have worked it out. Just lookd inside the BOX and there is no ram!that would cuase it. also while your in there clean it out and make sure everything in firmly seated in PLACE
