Solve : Connecting VHS to computer?

Answer»

Looking for a VHS Player that can be connected to a computer through USB or other means. Are you wanting to copy from vhs to the computer or the other WAY around.  If from computer to vhs, there are lots of hardware solutions which range from using RCA cables to an S-Video connection.  I use www.tigerdirect.ca for purchases like that.by far my favorite is belkins  video_bus...some nice setup/easy  stuff..no ads here.............user friendly....to boot...  [email protected]k for it...BRILL....              ( recommended by yours truly)Video out to VHS is done with an adaptor from SVGA to NTSC video. Many laptops have this BUILT in, others have the adaptor to connect to the 15-pin back video connector. Feed through adaptors are best for a desktop.

If you want to record a VHS video to hard drive, a frame grabber or other streaming video card is best. Pinnacle makes SEPARATE frame grabber cards, and some ATI video cards include it in the video card. Some TV receiver cards can also function as NTSC video receiver cards...
