Answer» i just downloaded a version of "Wine" which is a free application that will let you run Windows applications. i downloaded it and its a .zip file, im not sure how to change this to something that will enable it to work.... any help please?
Hardware Overview:
Model NAME: iMac Model Identifier: iMac5,1 Processor Name: Intel Core 2 Duo Processor Speed: 2 GHz Number Of Processors: 1 Total Number Of Cores: 2 L2 CACHE (per processor): 4 MB Memory: 1 GB Bus Speed: 667 MHz Boot ROM Version: IM51.0090.B09 SMC Version: 1.8f2
Try here: http://en.softonic.com/s/winzip-mac:macNot necessary. You're running a mac with OS X installed.
All you need to do is double CLICK on the zip file to expand it.
It should then create a folder with the contents of the zip file in it.
Open the folder and take what you need.you can do that but the software MAY have additional features you may want. You might want to reconsider --- if you can't handle a zip file with your Mac, then you definitely do not have the where-with-all to deal with Wine.
Take a peek at http://wiki.winehq.org/MacOSX
I'd SUGGEST spending the $ for Bootcamp, Parallels, etc.
Did anyone realise that this topic is over 2 weeks old and the OP hasn't replied?
