winamp is QUITE good very nice and some on the skins are very very cool...

The distortion brought on by volume adjustment might take some getting used to, but with a good sound card that might even be reduced.. i can't hear distortion anymore after getting a nice sound card. ALTHOUGH, it also depends on the quality of the audio files of course. the equalizer is pretty nifty for a playback program too.
