My cursor has a little x on the little hand?  I can't go to link in my email message?Mary scan for trojans etc disable system restore beforehand winkey+the pause break key=device manager etc and system restore....and reboot pc and hold down the f8 and chose the last good config... have you altered the cursors in the mouse settings?I don't understand a word of that answer.  could you please walk me THRU it.  I am a complete dummie when it comes to configuration  Any help will be much APPRECIATED.  This problem just started yesterday.  I spent entie dayx2 searching for answerok shut down your pc....now hold down the f8 and re-start it...a list of options will appear on a black screen use the arrow keys and scroll down till you hi-light the Windows will re-boot it self....does the problem go AWAY? If not disable the system restore feature by going into the device manager via the keys on the keyboard< hold down the windows key and + key and the pause/brake at the same time.>...This will bring up a splash screen device manager...>.Now with your mouse click the system restore tab...now untick the BOX and scan for trojans/worms etc...and  remember if you wish to use the system restore just  re-tick the box...hth..
