Answer» I currently have a 61" Samsung HL-S6187W 1080P TV, I have a Pioneer Elite VSX-84TXSi A/V reciever with 1080p switching and 4 HDMI inputs. My computer is a Dell demension XPS Gen 3 running Microsoft windows XP media center edition. My video card is a ATI Radeon x1950 pro with VGA, DVI-I, and S Video out.
I just recently tried to hook the computer up via DVi-I to HDMI conversion to the back of my Reciever. I had previously had it hooked up via VGA directly to the back of my TV. My receiver is hooked up to my TV via a HDMI cable. So my problem is when I hooked up the computer through the reciever the desktop comes up but it has a SLIGHT and I mean very slight flicker, but that isn't the problem the desktop is mis-aligned on my TV. The start bar is below the display and the icons are all shifted to the LEFT and off the screen. I have set my video card to 1920X1080p @ 60Hz FRAME rate and I did so as well on my monitor properties through control panel/display settings. I just need to know how to get the desktop to line up on my TV like it's supposed to. Do I need a driver? I've checked just about everything else I know my reciever/TV can handle 1080p @60Hz I have devices like my PS3 and Xbox 360 hooked up through it via HDMI cable, and my video card EVEN tells me the max resolution that the device can handle.Hi avengerz43,
