and that is all I'm at a loss. Sorry.Lol thats ok thanks ANYWAY Allan. I'm going to take a break and tomorrow maybe wipe it clean and try and install the drivers from Dell again.I wiped it clean and re installed windows ...all the proper drivers from Dell for an Latitude C810. Nothing still no sound and no touchpad. I called Dell support and they will not help me because I have no service tag. I have no Idea why there is no service tag but there isn't. I don't know where it came from originally its ancient. But once I start something I have to finish it or it will bug me forever. And I do know it worked before the re installment of windows. Anybody have any fresh ideas???RUN both SIW (system info for windows ) and Everest Home on that machine... Both are FREE and between the 2 we should be able to track down suitable drivers...Ok now Ive run both everest and WSI what do I do with that INFORMATION?
Service Tag should be listed in the bios. In the bios service tag says Not Installed.You need to call Dell.I did call Dell but they won't help because I have no service tag.
