I have a new computer that was set up for Microsoft Outlook Express. I have always used Outlook Express so I thought I was making a shortcut for that email. Unfortunately, when I made OE my default mail, the Misrosoft OE emails went into the DARK hole somewhere. Is there a way to recover all the emails that were in it?When I bring it up now, it presents itself as a new mail server and wants to be "setup". Go to Tools --> Optionsa and Maintenance folder to see Store Folder and see the folder where your messages must be stored. Check that folder , if there remain your mails etc.

I checked all the other folders just in case, but didn't see them. I appreciate your input.You know they are hidden, don't you?

And be careful there are two Application Data Folder.
One is directly under your user name like:
E:\Documents and Settings\elman\Application Data

and SECOND is under Local Settings folder which is hidden as well. The path you must be looking for is like:
E:\Documents and Settings\elman\Local Settings\Application Data\Identities\{19FDE88A-7693-43E7-8FFF-0C747678CEE0}\Microsoft\Outlook Express

These are for mine and default for many.

I have LOOKED under everything in the Documents and Settings folder and there is nothing at all that contains anything that would remotely be what you say I need to find. Could it be in another PLACE?I probably couldn't inderstand your problem right.
