Solve : Display Windows version on Desktop?

Start>Run>type regedit>click OK
NAVIGATE to this key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop
In right pane double click on PaintDesktopVersion, and change its value to 1.
The default is PaintDesktopVersion = 0 meaning do not display the build number.
Restart computer.
Works in Vista, XP and Windows SERVER 2003.
Where does it display it?On the desktop right above the clock Hmmm.....SEEMS pointless

I might TRY it on one of my experimental comps. It is point less ---conversational piece. LOOOOOL I agree - pointless, just a LITTLE toy.
