There are no drivers for the Intel x5/x7 Atom processors This was found while looking for something else Why it would install on an old Pentium D system. Have not found the answer to that, Not yet. If you wonder why it won't install on a Pentium D system, It would probably be the same reason Windows 8.1 won't install to such a system, which would be the lack of the CompareExchange128 instruction.Thanks. I had thought about that, but the system did load up 8.1 and did not report any issue. I started looking for things DIRECTLY related to windows 10. And SOMEWHERE I saw a thing about an other BIOS did not allow a specific executable BIT to work. I think it is called the NX bit elsewhere. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Executable_space_protection But that makes not sense. Or does it? |
