Solve : downloading & combining files?

Answer»

I belong to a alt.binary newsgroup & am pretty good with music & image files. What I have trouble with is trying to figure out how to download and actually use movies & games...do I need ADDITIONAL software for iso files? I am using winrar & a download manager. Windows XP. Have tons of hard drive.(1000 gigs) I have lots of music. I am self TAUGHT & have had my computer for about a year & a half...so if anyone can help please keep it simple. Thanks a bunch.

SzpixmanWinRAR should have a utility that will open .ISO files

Somewhere in your WinRAR options, you will be able to find "File Associations". Check .ISO files
Save the SETTINGS, and from there, you should be able to open ISO files and extract them. (Be sure to put them in their own folder, ISO files are usually quite big)

If that does not work, or if you cant find File Associations, you can do this:

Right click the ISO file, and click "Open With..."
Find WinRAR on the list (you might have to click "Browse" to specify another program)
Click OK
Does it work now?

There are different formats of ISO files. Some of them can be open with PowerISO, or MagicISO, only (both of them not free).
Can you specify better what exactly do you want to do?some computer have already installed softwares where u can make iso.
And read them too of course...
Check if your computer have any CD burning tool or etcQuote

In addition to WinRAR, so will 7Zip.
Free.
