Solve : Duel channel and the FX sieries?

Answer»

Does the amd FX sieries support duel channel because of its 939 pin?

Does duel channel have to do anything with FSB rates?
I assume you are talking about the FX-51 athlon processor. As you will most likely be using an NFORCE 3 MOTHERBOARD for the processor you will probably be using dual chanel mode for your ram (however i am no expert in this subject, having never owned such as board). I was told that FX-53 chips only work with 'registered' RAM and i am not sure if this is the same for FX-51 so i would advise reading into it further.

Dual channel does not directly relate to the FSB speeds. FSB is the Front side bus of the processor and while it is BENIFICIAL to run your RAM at a 1:1 ratio with your FSB but isnt essential.

sorry i couldnt be more specific but i hope this helps.whats registered and unregistered ram?I have just been informed that you do need to use 'Registered' RAM for a FX-51. It is very much like regular RAM but does more error CHECKING and is much more expensive.
