Answer» My desktop wont switch on at on off BUTTON,but does switch on by itself randomly..We did encounter a virus which we scanned & also used restore too..We scanned the pc in safe mode & it constantly restarted the pc having found issues,THUS not allowing US the CHANCE to delete any issues found.Now we are unable to actually even switch on the pc at all...does anyone have any ideas???Is it still under warranty? Sounds like a bad power supply unit. (PSU).No its not under warranty but prior to it not swiching on the power supply functioned fine & only after it stopped us SCANNING to remove trojans & virus did it also stop us being able to switch on the pc...But it will switch itself on randomly...Can you boot with your Windows install disk?
