Answer» Trying to run a second line into my bedroom working from Brighhouse router, anyway to do it without ahving to buy another router or spend lots of money getting cable company to run a new line, not secure with using a wi-fi connection because of what I work on at times. Does the router have the typical 4 ports on back? What make and model is the router? I don't believe Brighhouse is a router brand name. Did you MEAN that Bright HOUSE Networks is your ISP (Internet Service Provider)? Maybe the O/P actually means a Bright House "modem" ? truenorthYes, that could be so; perhaps she actually has no router. Also, I believe some ISPs provide a combination modem/router, which, like a separate router, would most likely have 4 ports on back to support multiple computers. Hopefully time will tell us. truenorthBrighthouse is a cable company. |
