Since my son used my computer last weekend, it has gone hay~wire.  After logging into my computer, (after a few minutes) everything on the DESKTOP disappears and doesn't come back. A few times it would disappear and then come back. Including the taskbar below (start menu). What is the cause of this and what can i do to fix it?? Will it work OK in Safe Mode?And how old is your son?  Have you ASKED him what exactly he was doing on the computer and if he had any problems?

He is 13 and he asked me to go on a game site that I am familar with. But it seems he went to other sites b/c I can't understand why it would all of a sudden disappear.
