hi... i have a problem to enter my pc  BIOS.
my spec:

Acer
Pentium 3 450 mhz
Motherboard acer V66m (98121-2) ( 48.38A 01.021)
OS win98

system asking me to push Ctrl+Alt+Esc to enter bios setup, but it not working when i did this. It CONTINUES running win98. I also try F10, F2 button but fail too. I try to change the motherboard batery (pc technician's idea), its still not working.
anyone can help me please.....any idea???

Try pressing the keys all at once and rapidly repeat the handling. It will only work when the message it displayed, so as soon as your turn on the computer, keep tapping these BUTTONS.

You can also use a BOOT diskette, the BIOS is most likely set to boot from A: (FDD) first.yes i did push all the buttons at once. at the bottom of the screen showing entering setup now...... what make me wonder is.. its continue running win (i push those button non stop until there is a beep sound).

first i use the usb keyboard, when i start my pc it showing ps/2 keyboard error or not connected so i change to ps/2 keyboard this time the error keyboard massage gone. But still cannot entering bios.
for information i send this pc to the technicion for checkup. the technicion TOLD me there is nothing he can do about this. I ask the technician is there any option to fix this problem. He said no... Is that true???..

actually i want to make clean install from win 98 to 98se or win 2000. How do i do? if still cannot entering bios. How about if my pc have been infected by virus and need to reinstall/ reformat h/disk.

please help me... Why do you need to enter the bios setup screen!You can simply insert a boot diskette and see if it is able to be booted from.

The Windows 98SE CD is a bootable CD as well. So you have two good chances.Iam realy new about pc. I only know one way to make clean install is enter bios setup bootable priority restart pc and bla...bla....

Now my pc problem is cannot entering bios, so how do i make clean install??.

Raptor... my pc is able to boot from boot diskette. please tell me how to do it step by step using boot diskette and win 98 cd.

please and thanks...1. Insert boot diskette before turning on the computer
2. Choose to boot with CD-ROM Support
3. Type format X:
-- Where X:\ is the drive letter of the drives you wish to clean
4. Once done, type X:\
-- Where X is the drve letter of the CD-ROM drive
5. Type setup
