http://www.techradar.com/news/software/operating-systems/features-you-ll-lose-when-upgrading-to-windows-10-1299655Thanks for sharing it. Some good-to-know stuff. The loss of XP mode and Virtual PC are the 2 that I'd miss.
But I have multiple systems and can run older games that are picky on Hardware/OS that matches what it was originally designed to run on anyways so its not really that critical for myself. For other people who might only have a single computer when I have 8 computers, they might be more in a world of hurt when say their Atomic Bomber Man or original Diablo game designed for Windows 95/98 that NEEDS an XP compatibility mode setting to run correctly with Windows 7, now wont run all all on Windows 10.
The Virtual PC I have used in the past mainly for testing questionable freeware. Nothing worse than loading up a piece of freeware that has dirty uninstallers or questionable code that loads the software to C:\windows\system32 instead of C:\Program Files\Software_Vendor_Name\ on your main system and then having to USE a restore point or rebuild it all clean again because of the problems created by it, so I tend to use Virtual PC 2007 still although there are alternatives out there. Prior to USING Virtual PC I use to load up a clean OS on a test box and test the software and then go through scrubbing the drive and installing clean again. Microsoft though did not like my activation of XP multiple times a week and so I eventually ghosted the test box so that I didnt have to reactivate XP each time I blew it AWAY to make clean again. Virtualization with Virtual PC made the test process as simple as loading up virtual machine, test software. Delete the VHD and copy a new clean copy of the VHD to the test folder for the next piece of software to test at some point etc.I didn't see anything to stop me upgrading, but I'm still going to wait a week or two. I have a 1-month old desktop running 7 and a laptop running windows 10 Preview 10240 which is staying
