Answer» For some unknown reason, I started to load Japanese characters on Google. I then thought better of it and cancelled the load before it was even 1/4 done. Now, however, whenever I go to Google from anywhere, it shows small boxes where the LETTERS would normally be and it ALSO says I am on "iGoogle" which I have never used. How do I change this to get back to normal Google and normal English lettering? Thanks. It SEEMS that you have accidently changed your language.
Make sure your browser says: www.google.com for US www.google.uk for United Kingdom www.google.ca for Canada
At the top of iGoogle, click the link at the very top, second link in from the LEFT. Hi Zylstra -- Thanks for the advice. Unfortunately, it didn't work, because every Google page has either Japanese characters or little boxes. I did click on the 2ND link from the top left, but it only brought me to a page that was even more Japanese and boxes in iGoogle.Try clicking this link: http://www.google.com/ig?hl=en Hi Zylstra -- That seemed to work - everything came up in English, but I am not interested in "iGoogle" and it seems to have trapped me there, even when I just enter the web address for www.google.com. I appreciate your help. Now any way I can get out of igoogle and into regular google in English?Hi Zylstra -- Thanks again. I decided to just go with this "iGoogle" thing as long as it works.
