Solve : Google Wave?

Answer»

Anybody else hear about this?

Google WAVE is a new model for communication and collaboration on the web, coming later this year.

Quote

What is a wave?

A wave is equal parts conversation and document. People can communicate and work together with richly formatted text, photos, videos, maps, and more.

A wave is shared. Any participant can reply anywhere in the message, edit the content and add participants at any point in the process. Then playback lets anyone rewind the wave to see who said what and when.

A wave is live. With live transmission as you type, participants on a wave can have faster conversations, see edits and interact with extensions in real-time.

Though like it, it's not instant messeging. Watch the video.I dont have that much time. So its kind of like im for business? No! I'm not going to explain it until you watch the video. LAWLS!Watched the video for this a WEEK or so ago. Seems promising. My initial reaction to describing it, when TRYING to describe it to my GF was: Think of an interactive and much more user friendly twitter, with a little Facebook and Gmail mixed in. As well as a few IM clients thrown in.

It's really hard to believe that this is all in the browser though. You can imagine the amount of problems this will have when it starts up.. finally something to out shadow windows for issues.Quote from: Mulreay on June 11, 2009, 09:47:55 AM

Not really, I'd say. I MEAN, it is really another large scale website, the same as Microsoft or even Google itself. Trial and error.True.Quote from: kpac on June 11, 2009, 06:35:54 AM

From what I read a lot of this is possible because it's being done a lot in the new HTML 5, most of which only the latest browsers support, so they're really developing this with all the latest code.
