Solve : help restoring back to factory condition? |
|
Answer» I have recently been given a Dell optiplex 150. The reason my friend gave it to me is she just doesn't use it but she can not remember the ADMINISTRATOR password she used. We can get in with her username she used on it as guest level(not clear on why she did this). But to change major things(even some minor)you have to be logged in as administrator. She didn't use it for very much and doesn't have a lot of computer knowledge,so now it is very limited in what you can do on it for me to use.It has windows xp pro. I can get in a lot of the system under safe mode but I STILL don't have enough access to delete some things on it. I have TRIED to do systems restore under safe mode but it says there isn't enough memory. Is there a trick to Dells for restoring it back to factory condition? On my Acer I have a recovery disc to do that and my SISTERS HP you hit F10 and recovery will start. She does not have all of the stuff the store told her to keep. Like the windows BOOKLET or driver discs... If you have anything you can think of I would really appreciate it. As the computer is...it is useless to me. |
