Solve : help with terminal (leopard)?

Answer»

I type in sudo -s and immediately get the request for my password but then it does not allow me to type it in - curser just stays put. What am I doing wrong? It seems to me that your ISSUE is that you're using the SWITCH ("-s") which tells sudo to use the already logged in user's credentials.

It might help if you tell us what exactly you're TRYING to do.Thanks - I got it SOLVED. If you don't mind, would you please post your solution here in case anyone else has a similar issue to yours?
