Answer» My laptop may have a VIRUS and I am looking for help. When XP STARTS up, the screen will go black after about 3 - 5 minutes while everything is loading. Everything SEEMS to be operating but the monitor is black. I have tried restarting several times and have tried restarting using the last good configuration. I KNOW very little about computers so I apologize for the "nontechnical" language. Thanks for any assistance.See, if your computer will work OK in Safe Mode.
